Does Stress Affect Implantation?

Emotional Stress Support Around Conceiving

Been told or thinking you are "infertile" or will have difficulty in conceiving keeps us stuck and it amplifies itself through us physically, mentally and emotionally. STRESS releases cortisol and prevents implantation along with negative thinking patterns that can prevent pregnancy.

The Stress Cycle Is A Combination Of Thoughts,

Physical Sensations & Emotion

Resulting In Unhealthy Behaviour

A Simple yet Effective Breathing Exercise to help you de-stress:

Why do it:
We live in a current high-stress culture, which in turn puts us under emotional stress, and our bodies response is activated into a fight, flight, freeze or fragment, so often that the body doesn't always have a chance to return to normal, resulting in a state of chronic stress.

When we are looking to conceive, and under emotional stress, our body releases stress hormones including adrenaline and cortisol which sets off our defensive system sending messages to the body that is not safe or time yet to create a baby. It may also be nature's way of protecting you from conceiving at a time; perhaps you might find it hard to cope. Cortisol also prevents the implantation of fertilised eggs and can also reduce sperm count in men. Obsessing about conceiving can also release eggs that are not mature enough to fertilise.

Introducing Hypnosis- Studies have shown that "infertile" women utilising mind/body techniques have a 42%-55% conception rate.

  • The success rate for hi-tech fertility procedures 20%
  • The success rate for those using mind-body techniques 42%- 55%
  • Self-hypnosis can strengthen the immune system by 48% in six weeks.
  • Hypnosis can double the success rate of IVF.
  • Mind-body techniques have produced a 57% reduction in physical and psychological symptoms associated with severe PMS
ALSO – By introducing a stress-reduction technique like a simple breathing exercise it will increase the functioning of the Parasympathetic system, which in turn gives us lots of endorphins and calms the nervous system.
The Idea Is To Breathe Out Stress & Breath In Relaxation!

Exercises:

  • Close Your Eyes And Relax.

Let your breathing get become slower and deeper. breath in for 4 and out for 8

  • Practice Stress Relief Breathing.

Breathe from your diaphragm or belly instead of from your shoulders or chest. Please don't force it, but let your breathing become natural and relaxed.

  • Visualize…

As you breathe in, imagine that 'relaxation' is coming into your body and flowing through your limbs, reaching every part of you. As you exhale, imagine that all the stress from your body is being exhaled. After a few minutes, you should feel more 'full' of peace, and the stress in your body should be reduced.

  • Keep Breathing.

For five to ten minutes, continuing this exercise can relieve stress and help you return to your activities (and stressors) with a renewed sense of strength and serenity and help you get pregnant.
