Painless Childbirth Through Positive Thinking!
Helping couples experience an enjoyable and empowering birth experience.I have been teaching Hypnobirthing since 2003 in Ireland and have taken thousands of couples through a birth preparation programme that aids relaxation and reduces pain levels through mind-body relaxation and breathing techniques, helping couples experience an enjoyable and empowering birth experience.
Hypnobirthing is well received and encouraged by the maternity Hospitals here in Ireland as a result of the positive experiences and results - birthing is quicker, there is less need for pain management and interventions, such as forceps, and women have said they feel more in control or empowered.
It amazes me the number of couples who come to hypnobirthing because they do not want to experience the painful birth that their friends have had along with the high level of interventions experienced, resulting in aftercare and recovery taking between three and six months.
Partners come with an open, yet sceptical mind, and before they know it, find themselves really enjoying the journey along with experiencing deep levels of relaxation both, before during and after the birth of their baby. They get to learn about the mind body connection, how the birthing muscles work in harmony with each other. The importance of breathing in helping the Uterine muscles relax and open, the 3 stages of birthing, the breathing techniques, reducing anxieties and fears around birth and parenting and more…The techniques are also great to use after the birth, as coping strategies and relaxation techniques can be of benefit to everyone's daily lives. A recent couple who gave birth used the breathing and relaxation techniques in preparation for running the Marathon!
Some people use hypnobirthing alongside epidurals often reducing the amount of additional intervention that can come with medicated births.
Hypnobirthing Is safe, It's simple & It works!
Back in the 1920's, there was a British obstetrician Grantly Dick-Read who wrote a book called Childbirth Without Fear - The concept of painless childbirth through positive thinking!
The Hypnobirthing Online course is now available on line for couples, has been undated to support you through COVID-19 along with private one to one session, audios, so that they can also practice and mentally prepare at home in maintaining a positive frame of mind so by the time you attend the hospital for the birth of your baby, you have done everything that you can do to support both you and your baby's birth!
